Sad demise of Mr. Akbar Ghauli, the Assistant Director of Islamic Culture and Relation Organization (ICRO)

Mr. Akbar Ghauli, the Assistant Director of Islamic Culture and Relation Organization (ICRO) passed away of heart attack on Sunday November 14, 2021.

Mr. Akbar Ghauli, was a prominent dignitary of Islamic Republic of Iran. He was a true patriot and one among the voluntary fighters & activists of the Holy Defence era and lost his leg during the war. Later, he joined Islamic Culture & Relation Organization (ICRO) and had a long successful career as an Iranian Diplomat and cultural advisor to Italy. His life was full of meaning and accomplishments.

During his tenure in Italy, he committedly put great efforts in promoting his homeland’s goodwill, culture & heritage. He expanded the academic, cultural and artistic collaborations.

This was his hard work and dedication that he spent three successive periods as a Cultural advisor to Italy by ICRO. Many refer to his incumbency in Italy as a golden period of Iranian cultural activities abroad.

His sudden sad demise is a great loss for us but his efforts and dedications will be remembered throughout the history of ICRO without doubt, Ghauli has left as a great legacy of dedication and hard work. May Allah Almighty bless the departed soul to rest in eternal peace, Ameen.
